OUR MAIN GOAL
When we started Mise en Place Culinary Instruction, we wanted to bring the same commitment to excellence we strive for in the kitchen to the classroom. It was no easy task; after all how does one teach passion? Sharing ones love for cooking is easy, so we strive to harness that passion. Our classes are designed to be challenging, and to push yourself to a higher level. Our children classes grab that love and passion for cooking, so it can be shared with the future Chef's. Our older student and adult classes dive deeper into the theories of cooking. 
 
At Mise en Place Culinary Instruction 

We offer an 8 week cooking class in which we will teach you to be able to identify and implement safe food practices. To identify and properly use items found in kitchens today, to demonstrate the ability to identify and build flavors. Acquiring the basic skills of cooking proteins, vegetables, and starches. Understanding the five Mother Sauces, and how they can be used to create virtually any sauce you wish. How to identify herbs and spices and when to use them. Ages 11-Adult

For the younger kids ages 6-10 we offer a two to three day class that helps them with the basic measuring, mixing, and elementary baking skills.

The third class we offer is an adult cooking class. You tell us what it is you want to learn to cook, we pick up the ingredients, and bring everything you will need to your home. There, you and a minimum of four friends will learn how to cook the meal you requested, how to plate it, and then we will critique each others dish. The class runs up to four hours in length.


All classes but the Adult Classes will be taught at Grizzli's Italian Bistro & Pizzeria on College Rd. Fairbanks.
